Tryout Update (8/30):

Thursday, August 31 – Continuation of Tryouts 4:30 to 6:00pm

Friday, September 1 – Final Day of Tryout 4:30 to 6:00pm (The team roster will be posted later that evening)

Students who are trying out for Football and have registered on Dragonfly and submitted all of their paperwork will be issued a tryout number. This number should be on the front and back of a white or gray shirt that can be seen from a distance.  This should be done prior to tryouts to help speed up the check in process on the first day of tryouts. Attention ALL Athletes, 

We the football coaching staff would like to formally invite you to the 2023 Community House Football season. We will be hosting tryouts for this upcoming season, August 28th through September 1st.   Anyone interested in joining the Cavalier Family, this is your opportunity! If you’re entering the 7th and/or 8th grade, we’re talking to you. 

Community House strives to provide an athletic program that is a source of pride for our school and community. Through sportsmanship, leadership, and teamwork, we will instill the qualities of being champions not only in the game of football but also life. Competing with our highest level of effort on the football field is a priority for our football team, but learning valuable lessons beyond the field through participation in sports is the ultimate goal. 

We as coaches are looking for players who possess key attributes in order to be considered a potential Cavalier football player.

TRYOUT DATES & TIMES:

1st Round of Tryouts:

– Monday, 8/28 & Tuesday, 8/29 from 4:30 to 6:00pm.

– Students who demonstrated the knowledge and skill needed to play football at the middle school level will have their names posted on the CHMS Football page and will be invited back for the 2nd round of tryouts.  

2nd Round of Tryouts:

– Wednesday, 8/30, Thursday, 8/31 & Friday, 9/1 from 4:30 to 6:00pm.

– After Friday’s (9/1) tryout, the final team roster will be posted on the main CHMS Football page. (Additional information about the season, practice schedule and participation fee will be given at that time.)

WHAT TO BRING TO TRYOUTS:

– plain white t-shirt so your tryout number can be written on it. You are to wear that same number every day of your try out. (NOTE: Tryout numbers will be posted on the football page a week leading up to tryouts.)

– athletic shorts

-cleats (for tryouts they can be any type)

– water bottle full of water
