Additionally, I want to make you aware of the baseball conditioning program that will begin the week after Christmas break. This program will run for approximately 6-8 weeks, Monday through Friday (weather permitting), from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM on the baseball field.

To ensure your sons are ready, please have them come equipped with the necessary items for conditioning, including:

• Glove
• Cleats
• Helmet
• Running shoes
• Batting gloves
• Baseball Pants/Belt/Hat

2025 Baseball Final Roster

Attention ALL Athletes,

We the baseball coaching staff would like to formally invite you to the 2024 Community House baseball season. We will be hosting tryouts for this upcoming season, February 20th through the 23th.   Anyone interested in playing Cavalier Baseball, this is your opportunity! If you are in the 7th or 8th grade, we’re talking to you.

Community House strives to provide an athletic program that is a source of pride for our school and community. Through sportsmanship, leadership, and teamwork, we will instill the qualities of being champions not only in the game of baseball but also life. Competing with our highest level of effort on the baseball field is a priority for our baseball team but learning valuable lessons beyond the field through participation in sports is the ultimate goal.

We as coaches are looking for players who possess key attributes in order to be considered a potential Cavalier baseball player:

TRYOUT DATES & TIMES:

1st Round of Tryouts:

• Tuesday, February 18th and Wednesday, the 19th from 4:30 – 6:30pm

• Students who demonstrated the knowledge and skill needed to play baseball at the middle school level will have their names posted on the main CHMS Athletics’ page and will be invited back for the 2nd round of tryouts.

2nd Round of Tryouts:

• Thursday, February 20th from 4:30 to 6:30pm.

• Students who demonstrated who have demonstrated a higher level of understand of the game and shows advanced baseball skill level will have their names posted on the main CHMS Athletics’ page and will be invited back for the final round of tryouts.

Final Round of Tryouts:

• Friday, February 21st from 4:30 to 6:30pm

• After the final round the team roster will be posted on the CHMS Baseball page. (Additional information about the season, practice schedule and participation fee will be given at that time as well.)

WHAT TO BRING TO TRYOUTS:

• plain white t-shirt so your tryout number can be written on it. You are to wear that same number every day of your try out. (NOTE: Tryout numbers will be posted a week before tryouts begin.)
