February 2, 2024

Elevation Church – Lake Norman

Critical reasons your school needs a
Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC)

Student Voice and Representation: Provides student-athletes with a platform to voice their opinions, concerns, and ideas regarding athletic programs and policies.

Leadership Development: Participation allows student-athletes to develop leadership skills by taking on roles such as president, vice president, secretary, etc… This experience helps them cultivate organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.

Promoting Sportsmanship and Ethics: Actively work towards promoting sportsmanship, fair play, and ethical behavior among student-athletes.

Mental Health and Well-being: Providing a supportive environment, the council can contribute to the overall mental and emotional health of its members.

Building School Spirit: By organizing events, pep rallies, or initiatives that boost school spirit, this contributes to creating a vibrant and supportive atmosphere for all students, not just athletes.
