The 2025 CMS Athletes United Summit took place on Tuesday, October 14, at Central Piedmont Community College’s Central Campus. The event brought together 425 student-athletes from various CMS high schools, along with 35 athletic directors and 15 mentors for a day of learning, leadership, and inspiration.
Throughout the day, students participated in workshops focused on Financial Literacy, Athlete Wellness, FAFSA Navigation, and Personal Branding—all designed to help them prepare for life beyond high school athletics.
One of the highlights of the summit was a panel discussion titled “Sneakers, Scrubs & Suits.” The panel featured a former Carolina Panthers linebacker, an OrthoCarolina physician assistant, as well as CEOs and doctors, who shared how their experiences as high school athletes shaped their paths to success in their respective careers.
