Tryout Expectations
Warmup (Everyday):
Every tryout day will begin with a 10–15-minute warmup to ensure that players are prepared for the day.
Fitness:
Players will be asked to complete a group run around the field. Player fitness is very important!
Technical/Passing:
Players will showcase skills through technical progressions. These will include drills like juggling, one and two touch passing, passing patterns, driven long distance passing, and crossing/finishing drills.
Small sided:Â
Players will be split into small groups where they will play in a smaller playing area. This is to ensure all players are able to showcase their abilities prior to moving into larger 11v11 side games.Â
11v11:
Players will be placed into teams based on positions and will rotate through games. This is to see the player in their natural position on the field.Â
Player Evaluations:
Players will be evaluated based on a number of characteristics. These include things like:
Technical ability
Tactical ability (understanding of the game itself)
