The CMS fall playoffs continue to roll on! Here are your sports specific updates: 

VOLLEYBALL 

Final Results

3A

The 3A volleyball season came to a close for #32 West Charlotte in the first round on Saturday, October 21st.

The 4A volleyball season came to a close for all CMS teams in the third round on Thursday, October 26th.

WOMEN’S TENNIS

Final Results

4A

The NCHSAA 4A Women’s Dual Team Tennis Championship concluded on Saturday, November 4th at the Burlington Tennis Center. Myers Park earned its third NCHSAA 4A Women’s Dual Team Tennis Championship on Saturday with a 5-4 win against New Hanover.

WOMEN’S GOLF

Final Results

4A

The 4A women’s Golf season concluded on Tuesday, October 31st at Pinehurst No. 6. CMS had the following golfers participating: 

Myers Park – Elizabeth Rudisill, Madison Park, Juliette De Mey, Larson Shull, Tucker Mullnix Ardrey Kell – Aayra Iqbal, Emma Miller, Victoria Fan
Hough – Ana Passos Da Cunha, Reagan Sokol

MEN’S SOCCER 

Final Results 

4A

The South Meck Sabres defeated the Apex Friendship Patriots on Friday, November 17th to win their third NCHSAA Men’s Soccer Championship in program history.

FOOTBALL 

Regional Round

4A

Independence fought hard against Weddington on Friday, December 1st in the regional round ending their season with an impressive 11-4 record overall.

CROSS COUNTRY

Final Results

4A

The cross country championships concluded on Saturday, November 4th at the Ivey Redmon Sports Complex in Kernersville NC. 

Congratulations to Myers Park’s Mary Bonner Dalton, last year’s runner up,  for winning the Women’s 4A State Championship!

She smashed the 4A State Meet record becoming the first female in NCHSAA history to complete the 5k state championship race in under 17 minutes.

CHEERLEADING

The 21st annual NCHSAA State Cheer Invitational took place on Saturday, December 2nd at the Raleigh Convention Center.
