The 2nd Annual AK Need4Speed Track Meet was held on Saturday, April 26 at Ardrey Kell High School hosted by Ardrey Kell Track & Field featuring sprinters from North and South Carolina showcasing their speed and talent. Out of the 36 records set at the inaugural meet last spring 28 of those were broken leaving only 8 of last years records set standing.
The Blythewood girls team won their team championship with 151.5 points over second place Olympic with 51.5 points while the Lake Norman Charter boys team won their team championship with 86.5 point over second place Blythewood with 78 points.
The organizers are looking to make tweaks for next season in hopes to make it even faster and smoother than the previous two with hopes of more schools wanting to compete in future Need4Speed meets. Â
