UPCOMING EVENTS

Spring Sports tryouts will begin on Tuesday, 2/18 for boy’s/girl’s soccer and baseball. Tryouts for boy’s and girls track and field will begin on Monday, 2/24. All paperwork will be done online using the tab titled “registration” provided at the top of this page. Also, don’t forget to signup for your sport specific tryout using the “Sports Sign-up link” that is hyperlinked above by clicking on the word “link” in bold letters. We look forward to working with our student athletes this upcoming  season. 

2025 Spring Sports Tryouts

Boy’s and Girl’s Basketball

• Tryouts for Spring Sports will begin Tuesday, 2/18 for boy’s/girl’s soccer and baseball. Tryouts for track and field will begin on Monday, 2/24 for boy’s and girl’s track and field. Students will need to sign-up for tryouts using the ” Sports Sign-Up  Link” provided at the top of this page beginning on Monday, 1/20. Students should wear a white t-shirt and bring the sport specific items necessary for tryouts.
• All required paperwork is due online by Thursday, 2/13 no later than 4 pm. Forms will be filled out online using the  registration tab at the top of this page. A hard copy of the sports physical needs to be turned into the front office for coach H. Williams,  letting me know which sport your student is trying out for by this date as well. 
• Spring tryouts are from 4:30 – 6:00 pm. These will be closed tryouts. No parents will be permitted to watch their student athlete(s) during tryouts. Students should be picked up outside of the school gymnasium in the bus parking lot.
• Students that are selected for a team will be required to pay a $75.00 non-refundable fee to participate for each season of participation. This payment can be made online once  a student has made a team.
• The required Spring sports parent night will be Monday, 3/3 in the school gymnasium at 6 pm sharp! All parents are required to attend.

Spring sports athletes will be taking team and individual pictures on Tuesday, 3/11 during practice. So if you want to purchase  athletic pictures send your student athlete with their money and order form.

Girl’s Soccer:

Congratulations to the following students for making the girls soccer team.

Numbers: 1,2,4,5,6,9,10,11,13,14,17,18,19,20,21,23

The girl’s soccer managers will be number 7. 

Next week we will practice Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 4:30-5:45. 

Monday, 3/3 will be a mandatory parent meeting following practice, at 6 pm in the gym. 

At the meeting we will review the practice and game schedule. 

We look forward to seeing you and having a great season! 

Baseball:

Congratulations to the following young man for making the 2025 Mavericks Baseball team. If you see your number you will have first day of practice tomorrow, 2/25. There will be a mandatory parent meeting for these athletes on Monday, 3/3 at 6 pm in the gym. Anyone who did not make the final cut and would like to tryout for track and field see coach H. Williams in front of the gym during arrival tomorrow morning so he can add you to the list.

Congrats to the following young men for making the 2025 Mavericks Soccer team. If you see your number your first day of practice will be Monday, 3/3. There will also be a mandatory parent meeting following that practice at 6 pm in the gym. Parent(s) are required to attend. Congrats again and Go Mavs!!!
