Winter Registration Now Open

ANNOUNCEMENT FOR SIXTH GRADE STUDENT ATHLETES

Only rising seventh and eighth grade students are eligible to participate in athletics. Sixth grade
students across Charlotte-Mecklenburg schools are prohibited from any
involvement or participation of middle school athletics.

Important Information Regarding Winter Registration (Basketball)

1. Read this if you have already created
a dragon fly max account for registration.

 If you have created a dragonfly max account already, be sure that thewinter sport you want to try-out for has been checked once registration opens. In this case, you will need to have basketball checked. If you have not checkedbasketball, you will need to go into your account to add basketball once registration opens. To register or login to dragonfly max, go to the registration tab above.  

2. Read this if you have not created a
dragon fly max account for winter registration.

To participate in Randolph athletics try-outs, you will need to create and complete all registration assignments.  In order to be eligible to participate you must get all green marks on your dragon fly max registration. When are tryouts for winter sports/start times? 

Monday November 7th will be the first day of wintertry-outs. Typically, tryouts will start after school around 4:30 pm. Sometimetryouts on the first day may begin around 4:45 pm. From the start of your student’s tryout, each tryout could last up to two hours.

When will I know if my child made the team? 

Tryouts will be posted in the cafeteia. Students who made the team names will posted.

When will cheerleading tryouts happen? 

There are no cheerleading tryouts for the winter. The fall cheerleaders will also be the winter cheerleaders unless roster spots needs to
be filled. If cheerleading spot(s) come open to be filled, then registered athletes only will be accepted for a try-out. If spots need to be filled,registered athletes with a valid physical on file will be given the opportunity to tryout if needed. If there is no word from the athletic director regarding try-outs, then no spots will need to be filled.

How will I confirm that my registration and tryout forms have been submitted?  

All green checks on your dragon fly max registration will confirm your registration. If you do not have all green checks, you will then need to read the message for the particular item you are missing

Where can I find the winter sport (Basketball) schedule?

Look under the tab above for “sports”, then press on the link of the team schedule you are looking for. Note: The winter sport schedule (Basketball), will be posted by mid November 2022

What is the participation fee/other fees?

The participation fee is what help fund middle school athletics. You only pay this fee when your student makes the team, not before. Additionally,if other fees show up, you only pay the fee for the sport yourstudent is participating in currently. Unselect the others to get the correctfee.
