What: Athletes trying out will be walking 9 holes and various golf skills will be assessed throughout. Coach Spinks will be looking at players’ swings, putting and overall coachability.

When: Tryouts will be on Monday 8/26 & Tuesday 8/27 from 5pm-7pm

Where: Pebble Creek Golf Course – 6207 E Independence Blvd, Indian Trail, NC 28079

 

 

How: Athletes trying out will need to be picked up from school and transported to the golf course. Carpooling is allowed but must be determined ahead of time through parents. If you are willing to carpool, please let me know so I can connect you to anyone who is in need of it.

 

With golf, we have to work with local golf courses to secure tee times and dates. We understand that transportation is not ideal for families, but we are very appreciative of the support many of you give. 

 

-If you child has clubs, please bring those to tryouts.

– If you are carpooling, your child can bring the clubs to school on Monday and Tuesday and secure them in the gym varsity locker room.  

– Attire: Whatever your child has will be fine, but please try to come in shorts, a polo and tennis or golf shoes.

Requirements of the Game: Having some general knowledge of the game, being able to carry or push golf bags, and locating your own golf balls is essential. Prior golf experience beyond putt putt or top golf is required.
