CORE COURSES
The NCAA requires that incoming student-athletes meet a minimum requirement of courses to be considered core. Core Courses offered by Hopewell are listed below.
For DIVISION I: 16 Core Courses
10 Core Courses MUST be completed prior to their Senior Year
4 English, 3 Mathematics (Algebra 1 or higher); 2 Natural/Physical Sciences (1 Lab); 1 additional English, Math, or Natural/Physical Science; 2 Social Science; 4 additional courses (from any area above, foreign language, or comparative religion/philosophy)
For DIVISION II:
Graduating Class of 2012: 14 core courses
3 English; 2 Mathematics (Algebra 1 or higher); 2 Natural/Physical Sciences (1 Lab); 2 additional English, Math, or Natural/Physical Science; 2 Social Science; 3 additional courses (from any area above, foreign language, or comparative religion/philosophy
